What are Rich Results?

What I understand with Rich Results is that they are more than just a link to your website rather they display the specific information which you have served through your web page. More appearance in rich results means more structured your site is.

What are the features of Rich Result Tests:

  1. It shows which Search feature enhancements are valid for the markup you are providing.
  2. It handles dynamically loaded structured data markup more effectively.
  3. It renders both mobile and desktop versions of a result.
  4. It is fully aligned with Search Console reports.

Some useful keywords related to rich results

1. Testing: You can test a code snippet or URL to your site using the Rich Results.

Test bar to paste your URL or code

2. Warnings: Warning in the test outcomes shows that the code can’t be featured as a rich result. It also limits its appearance as if the image is missing, then the result will be visible with a missing image.

3. Errors: Errors disqualify your page or the code snippet from being displayed as rich results. Note that more the errors less the chances.

What are the user reviews on this step?

Many of the users have been talking about why it is being done to replace a good tool with something more Google-specific.

Some of the main reasons for bad user experience:

  1. Google Rich Rich Test Beta version is very slow.
  2. RRT is less efficient than the Structured Data Testing Tool(SDTT).
  3. RRT gives support to a tiny narrow subset of Google-approved Schemas and markups while SDTT validates ALL schemas.

It will be worth watching what will be the next updates into the upcoming versions. Till then stay connected.
